‘Perfect hospitality on outskirts of Dalwood.’

Fabulous room (aka Music Room) and bathroom, and huge comfy bed. The breakfast was beautifully thought out -orange juice, berries with yoghurt, toast, croissants and breakfast cooked to order. Fabulous !

‘Enjoyable few days.’

Had a great stay, very peaceful part of the world. Local pub with a nice walk through the fields and great food, and very good breakfasts would stay again.

‘Weekend retreat’

Quiet spot in beautiful setting, perfect for an evening or two to visit the area. We had dinner at River Cottage Canteen, followed by an amazing 3 course breakfast from Tim at summer lodge, and finally a day at River Cottage HQ Summer Festival….one happy fiancée!

‘Beautiful and Friendly in the Village’

We stayed two nights in the Linney log cabin and it was more. Good sized warm and cozy room (crawling baby friendly), well decorated with a raised deck overlooking a very scenic property and farming valley. Host Tim was very friendly and helpful, provided a good full breakfast to order and made bookings for the local pub for dinner – a very sound recommendation. In short, love it

‘Peace and tranquillity’

Tricky to find, but so worth it. A stroll across the fields to the local village pub for an excellent evening meal, and plenty of space in our suite away from the house for Claire’s saxophone practice. Our hosts were so helpful, and the breakfast was of the highest standard. Highly recommended

‘summer cottage short break’

Beautiful old cottage and gardens. Our room was lovely. Breakfast left you guessing a little but beautifully presented once explained and delivered.

Thank you Tim

Lovely B&B in fabulous countryside’

We had a lovely stay in the Balcony room at Summer Lodge. It exceeded our expectations, the photo’s don’t do the room justice. Windows all round from which to view the countryside, very comfortable king size bed, enormous bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and TV.

Tim the owner was very welcoming and helpful, booking us into the local pub for dinner and giving us directions for the 15 minute walk across the fields.

Highly recommended.

‘Beautiful. ‘

Summer Lodge is set in beautiful countryside. The balcony room has amazing panaromic views. The room is big with a huge bathroom and lots of storage. The cooked breakfast is freshly made and grease free. Very enjoyable. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Offering suggestions where to eat. A recommendation in the village was super. Overall a magical stay.

Worth Way more than 5 stars. Absolutely beautiful location, very comfortable room, delicious breakfast and sad it was only one night! Have already started to recommend it to friends.

‘What a lovely bonus to our River Cottage visit.’

I found a link to Summer Lodge when booking 4 of us into a Saturday evening visit to River Cottage HQ. I am so glad I did because we had a 2 night stay at Summer Lodge and it made the whole weekend an absolute delight. Tim and Ade are wonderful hosts, Summer Lodge is a beautiful home is set in such a glorious peaceful spot. If you are in this area for any reason STAY AT SUMMER LODGE! The Balcony Room would be my personal recommendation.

A haven of peace and tranquillity (and handy for River Cottage HQ and Canteen)’

We stayed for an anniversary weekend and felt suitably spoiled. Lovely accommodation in a log cabin amid newly mown lawns, a deck to sit out on with a view of rolling green farmland and not a person or car in sight, a splendid huge and comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, tasty breakfast and a friendly and helpful host.

Spotless, well presented, great host’

I stayed here overnight as I was working nearby the next day.

I stayed in the garden room – lovely room, very clean, well presented, nice and roomy and great shower! Host Tim was welcoming and friendly.

I would say that this would be an excellent place for peace and quiet and from which you could explore the local area as a tourist, or just as a lovely and quiet weekend getaway.

Thanks for looking after us during our very brief stay!
